Sundakkai also called as turkey berry/pea egg plant/ pea aubergine/wild egg plant is known for its amazing health benefits. It has bitterness. Bitterness good for health, It will cleanse the body and stimulates metabolism.
Ingredients:
- Moong dal/bean-1 cup
- Green sundakkai-1 cup
- Ghee/ Butter/ Oil-1 tbsp
- Tomato small -1
- Water-1 cup (can be adjusted)
- Tamarind extract-1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder-a pinch
- Sambar powder-2 tsp
- Salt as per your taste
- Cumin seed -½ tsp
- Mustard seed -¼ tsp
- Asafetida -a pinch
- Red chilly-1
- Curry leaves-a few
In recipe the bitterness had been reduced by using extracted tamarind water. Best companion is to eat with White rice.
